Baby Driver Review *SPOILER FREE*

Baby Driver was Directed by Edgar Wright and stars Ansel Elgort as an extremely accomplished and talented get away driver named Baby who is working to pay off a debt to a crime boss named Doc played by Kevin Spacey. Baby is forced to partner with several different criminals ( Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, Jon Bernthal and Eiza Gonzalez)  to perform these heist, while attempting to develop a personal relationship with Debora (Lily James) a waitress he met at his favorite diner. If you ask me what one of my favorite trilogies of all time is, it's the Cornetto Trilogy. The Cornetto Trilogy is funny, creative and expertly direct by Edgar Wright. I was a humongous fan of Scott Pilgrim vs the World and so I was extremely excited to watch Baby Driver. I was not disappointed at all. This entire movie was a blast from start to finish while being excellently directed and acted. I was floored by the spectacle that this movie was. It's a true masterpiece in almost every aspect of film making. Edgar Wright worked extremely hard to make this movie, and it shows in virtually every scene. This movie uses music in ways I haven't seen before, it's soundtrack is intricate to the plot and helps tell an awesome story. I could just tell the every shot in this movie was precise. planned, well rehearsed and filmed several times to make sure that it was as close to perfect as he could get.

Edgar Wright made a pretty amazing movie.

Let's take a look at the best parts:

1. Creativity and Editing- Baby Driver is unbelievably creative and exciting, the editing of this movie is to be studied. There are so many times this movie combines the natural movements and actions of people to fit with the songs. For example, there is a pretty big shootout in this movie, and every shot fired is the beat of the song Baby is listening to on his iPod. Baby driver is an exciting and different musical for the most part. I haven't seen something this creative in a long time. I did not expect music to be used in the way that Edgar Wright did. I was truly blown away.

2. Exciting- Baby Driver had some of the greatest car chase scenes I have ever seen, exciting shootouts and a fun plot. Every time Baby got behind the wheel, I felt confident for him and confident I would watch something great. The opening scene set up one of the best chases ever put to film and set an amazing tone for the movie. There was a fun character dynamic between Baby and his foster father that helped fill in the down time of the movie really well. There was never a moment that I was bored during Baby Driver.

3. Acting- Every actor in this movie was excellent. Every one held their own on screen. Each character felt new, refreshing and exciting. I never felt like they were trying to act, it all felt pretty natural and genuine. It was impressive to see such an amazing ensemble on screen. I was blown away by each actor. A lot of this is due to the direction and screenplay by Edgar Wright.

This movie had one flaw in my eyes:

1. The Romance- There is a moment in this movie where Baby and his love interest Debora begin to go on dates and spend more time together. While I felt like the characters had pretty good on screen chemistry, it was cut way too short. I wish there could've been about 10-15 more minutes developing the relationship between the two. Toward the end of the movie Baby asks Debora to engage in something pretty life changing. Debora jumps on the proposal way too quickly in my eyes. It was a little bit too unbelievable. A few more minutes would've helped develop the relationship between the characters weight and depth to the decisions that Debora makes.

I was absolutely floored by the way Baby Driver turned out. I was enthralled in the movie from start to finish. Edgar Wright directed an amazing movie. Ansel Elgort gave the best performance of his career and helped deliver some of the best practical action I have seen. Though the romance between Debora and Baby felt a little too thin, it didn't take away from the movie too much. I am going to give Baby Driver an A+.

It Comes At Night Review

It Comes At Night is the story of  six different people and their story of survival after a tragic event begins to diminish the worlds population. It Comes At Night was written and directed by Trey Edward Shults and stars Joel Edgerton, Christopher Abbott, Carmen Ejogo, Riley Keough, Griffin Faulkner and Kelvin Harrison Jr.  I was very excited for this movie after seeing all of the trailers and marketing for this film. I was expecting and exciting and gripping thriller. One that would keep me on my toes and one have a strong sense of excitement. It's safe to say.. I was wrong, but in the best possible way. It Comes At Night was absolutely nothing like I thought it was going to be and that was honestly the best part about it. It was an unconventional and a gigantic risk, and that is what I think we need more of. This movie was genuinely creepy and had a lot of scenes that caused the hair on the back of my neck to stand up. I was enthralled in every scene of this movi...

Spider-Man:Homecoming Review *SPOILER FREE*

Spider-Man: Homecoming was directed by Jon Watts and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Robert Downey Jr, Jacob Batalon and Civil War and is the story of Peter Parker learning to become Spider-Man. I am a huge Spider-Man fan, I loved the first two Sam Raimi films. Spider-Man 2 being one of the most important films I have seen. It was after Spider-Man 2 I wanted to start watching movies and learning as much as I could. So this was a movie that I was really excited to see but it had a lot of expectations to meet in my eyes. After seeing this movie, most of my expectations were met but a few were not. This was a really fun movie and one that I enjoyed a lot. I just found this movie to be a little underwhelming. Zendaya. It is the newest marvel film, and their first chance to make a Spider-Man movie. It takes place a few months after the events off But first let's take a look at the positives: 1. Tone - This was a true Spider-Man movie ...

Dunkirk Review

Dunkirk was directed by Christopher Nolan and was the dramatic depiction of the Battle of Dunkirk. It stars a wide variety of actors like Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Fionn Whitehead, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles and Cillian Murphy. I was really excited to see Dunkirk , I am a fan of war movies and I think Nolan is a terrific director. After walking out of Dunkirk , I was really impressed. The whole premise of this movie is not what I thought it would be. I am used to getting the stereotypical war movie, Dunkirk was anything but that. It was innovative and gripping and chose to tell a really compelling story in the most creative way. This was a visual masterpiece. Let's look at the best parts: 1. The Production - This movie was unbelievably real in it's production. Nolan used as many practical effects as he could. It was constructed with real planes, real boats and real locations. Nolan didn't cut any corners in his portrayal of this battle. I was just...
