Hostiles Movie Review

Hostiles was written and directed by Scott Cooper and stars Christian Bale, Rosamund Pike and Wes Studi. Hostiles follows famous and legendary captain Joseph J. Blocker (Christian Bale) as he escorts a Cheyenne Chief (Wes Studi) through treacherous and dangerous territory. Hostiles is one of those movies that instantly let's the audience know what they're in for within the opening scenes. Fortunately, for Hostiles this turned out to be a very heart tugging and emotional movie. Hostiles is easily one of the best performed and emotional movies I have seen in a while. Largely in part to the performances by Christian Bale and Rosamund Pike. I instantly fell in love with everything this movie had to offer and found myself edging closer the end of my seat during most scenes. I was blown away by how subtle this movie was. The Post Review

The Post was directed by Steven Spielberg and stars Meryl Streep as the country's first female newspaper publisher accompanied by her hard-driving editor (Tom Hanks) as they join an unprecedented battle between the press and the government. The Post is one of those movies that immediately grabs the attention of the public eye as it has Oscar written all over it just from the previews. After leaving The Pos t, I found it to be slightly underwhelming at times but still entertaining and a very impressive movie. As a fan of Spielberg's movies and a fan of historical dramas I thought The Post was perfectly fine. I was captivated by the story from the opening shots and hooked virtually throughout the entire film. The Post is one of those movies you can just feel the professionalism throughout it.
